Transistor / Into the Pixel

Monday, June 3, 2013

Whoa....! I updated! I've been hard at work on Supergiant's latest game "Transistor" (excuses, excuses) .... I was excited to submit this piece to the AIAS's Into the Pixel 2013 gallery and was lucky enough to be chosen as one of the finalists! Thanks much to the coordinators and friendly people over at the AIAS... It's so excellent to see people actively celebrating the art that behind the game!

Imagined Realities Exhibit

Friday, October 19, 2012

Hi guys! For those of you who are in Maryland, there's a small gallery showing running from October 19-November 21st that I have the honor of being a part of! If you've got the time, please go and check it out... I'm flattered to be shown alongside four other talented artists Piero Macgowan, Sean Andrew Murray, and John Jude Palencar at the Community College of Baltimore County (Catonsville)! I hear they'll also have Bastion on display...!

Here's the flyer, for those who are considering attendance! Very disappointed I couldn't make the artist panel being held tonight, but I'm certain Piero, Sean and John have fantastic things to say if you'd like to attend... Tonight's panel flyer:

Many thanks to Nicole Buckingham and Erik Miller for inviting me to be a part of this event!

Knight-Rat-Thing V.2

Wednesday, October 17, 2012

I drew the same knight-rat-person-shield-skeletor thing again in a DIFFERENT STYLE. Dun dun dun! Happy early-Halloween friends :D!

And the sketch it started with...! Maybe it's cuter in the sketch version... -_-.

Droorings of the evening!

As I grow as an artist I find it's become easy to lose touch of the instinctive, gut-driven method of creation... I'm internally flabbergasted to find that sometimes I stop myself from sitting down and drawing the things I just want to draw. Art becomes cerebral, which is not a bad thing necessarily but I think there's definitely a balance somewhere in between.

ANYWAY. The above was originally just a doodley head-shot... I'm not sure if I like the expanded-canvas version better but hey...it is what it is. Here's a version of the old shot!
